The chicken-and-pomegranate stew mentioned in the strip is called Fesenjan, and is maybe Iran’s most famous food. It should be made with walnuts, but for obvious reasons we substitute in almonds instead.
Kei has become paranoid about nuts when eating out, more so than Malcolm. That said, she managed to eat some Peanut Ramen over the new year, because they’d used an archaic word for “peanuts” on the packaging and ingredients list.[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
